ICU & Critical Care
An Intensive Care Unit is a place where critically ill patients are cared for. Patients in the ICU are usually those who require continuous monitoring and those on machines supporting organs like the heart, lungs, kidneys, etc. An ICU consists of physicians, nursing staff, technicians, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists and cleaning staff who work round the clock to help the patients recover at the earliest. We at Helios Hospitals have multiple ICU’s catering to different kinds of patients. A first of its kind cubicle ICU (10 bedded), a 10 bedded HDU, a 5 bedded SICU, a 6 bedded ICCU, a 16 bedded NICU with 2 levels are part of the set up with state of the art facilities and the latest equipment (like ventilators, dialysis machines, syringe pumps, fluid warmers, DVT compression devices, air warmers and central monitoring systems) and a dedicated team to take care of critically ill patients.
